SLNC Affirms Support of DWP Reservoir Commitments

The SLNC has worked closely with DWP to keep the community fully informed of developments in the reservoir project.
At the December 7 Governing Board meeting, the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council voted unanimously to support the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power’s (DWP) commitment to begin refilling the Silver Lake and Ivanhoe Reservoirs to historic levels beginning no later than May 2017, with a combination of well water and rain runoff. The Board also affirmed support to cosmetically cover the “tiger stripes” with paint or slurry, as long as the process does not delay the refill. The motion received strong support from the community.
