First Committee Meeting to Ensure HHH Homeless Funds Are Used Effectively

In November, Los Angeles voters approved Measure HHH, described by the Los Angeles Times as a “$1.2-billion bond measure to build housing for the chronically homeless.” Darius Derakshan, co-chair of the SLNC Homelessness in Silver Lake Committee, reports that the first of two meetings for the Proposition HHH Citizens Oversight Committee (COC) has been scheduled for 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, in City Hall Room 1010. Derakshan noted that the committee was established to ensure HHH funds are used in the most effective way possible. SEE PRESS RELEASE.
