Bellevue Park Participates in National Public Lands Day

Tiny helpers and volunteers of all ages came together to beautify Bellevue Park.

On September 30, more than 40 volunteers of all ages came together at Bellevue Recreation Center and beautified the park by picking up trash, sweepings, pruning, and planting.  According to Nina Sorkin, a community activist who helped organize the beautification effort, “The work completed today will help ensure our park continues to be a place for all to enjoy.“ The project was part of National Public Lands Day, which is sponsored by Toyota Motor North America and the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for Public Lands.
