Panel Leads Spirited Discussion on LGBTQI Legacy and Future

Silver Lake Library Branch Manager Lisa Palombi; SLNC Board Members Taryn Poole, Betsy Isroelit, Anne-Marie Johnson, and Rebecca Ruben; Julianne “Jules” Sohn, Senior Lead Officer and LGBTQ Liaison, Los Angeles Police Department; Anna Margarita Albelo, Cuban-American writer, director and producer; and Drian Juarez, Program Manager, Transgender Economic Empowerment Project

The third installment of the SLNC and Silver Lake Library’s “Words Can Help… And Hurt” series of conversations took place on November 13 at the library. There was an exceptional panel and the discussion, which focused on concerns facing the LBGTQI community, was well received. The next program will deal with issues of diversity and will take place in January. For more information about this event and others, please visit www.silverlakenc.org.
