Public Discussion Will Explore Legacy and Future of Silver Lake’s LGBTQ Community

The third in a series of community discussions on how “Words Can Help…and Hurt” will focus on “LGBTQ in Silver Lake: The Legacy & The Future.”  The forum is presented by the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council and the Silver Lake Library and will take place from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m., Monday, November 13, at the library, 2411 Glendale Blvd. Silver Lake 90039. Guests panelists Anna Margarita Albelo, an out, Cuban-American writer, director and producer; Julianne “Jules” Sohn, Senior Lead Officer and LGBTQ Liaison, Los Angeles Police Department; and Drian Juarez, Program Manager, Transgender Economic Empowerment Project will lead the conversation.
