The Future of the Reservoirs Begins May 1

The Bureau of Engineering (BOE) will unveil the planning process for the new Silver Lake Reservoir Complex Master Plan at a community meeting that will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at Friendship Auditorium.  According to SLNC Co-chair Anne-Marie Johnson, the first step – hiring the consultant who will guide the planning process – will have a significant effect on the future of the iconic Silver Lake and Ivanhoe Reservoirs. “As we begin to craft a document that will determine how residents and stakeholders will use the reservoirs for decades to come, this could be one of the most important community meetings. The consultant’s experience and vision will shape the plan, and it is extremely important that all who will be impacted attend.” Read the current Master Plan, which took over two years to develop, here.
