At a well-attended community open house on May 1, the Bureau of Engineering (BOE) discussed the hiring process for the consultant who will guide the development of the new Silver Lake Reservoir Complex Master Plan and provided an overview of the project, which is expected to take several years to complete.  Anne-Marie Johnson, co-chair of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council and Board liaison to the BOE and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, strongly encourages residents and stakeholders to provide online comments on the BOE’s Draft Project Description by May 22. As described above, the SLNC will conduct a community survey in conjunction with Loyola Marymount University. The Neighborhood Council will also hold a series of community meetings so all concerned can share their opinions on long-term uses of the reservoir complex.
