June 30 Last Day for Sidewalk Repair Requests

The SLNC Transportation and Public Safety Committee reminds Silver-Lakers that June 30 is the last day to apply for the Sidewalk Repair Rebate program. The program, which was launched in December 2016, provides rebates to homeowners and businesses to repair sidewalks in the City of Los Angeles that are not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The amount of the rebate is up to $10,000 for residential and business properties. The rebate amount is determined after a site visit by a city representative, who evaluates the elements of the sidewalk needing repair, based on ADA criteria. Applicants can submit a request to participate in the program by completing a service request through MyLA311.lacity.org, the MyLa311 App or by calling 311. If you have submitted an application, the Bureau of Engineering will continue to process it based on available funding. For more information, visit http://sidewalks.lacity.org.
