Community, Police Awareness Honored at Silver Lake’s National Night Out

On August 7, hundreds of Silver Lake residents joined police, fire and public safety personnel and elected officials at a community party held to celebrate community-police awareness. The Silver Lake Neighborhood Watch organized the annual event, which was held in the Citibank parking lot. Mayor Eric Garcetti, LAPD Chief Michel Moore, CD 13 Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell and CD4 Councilmember David Ryu addressed attendees, thanking police officers, safety personnel and the community for working together to increase public safety.
