Silver Lake to Celebrate Laurel and Hardy Film at Famed Music Box Steps

With a little help, Oliver and Hardy impersonators re-enact the famous scene from the classic short film, “The Music Box.”
On Saturday, October 20, Silver Lake will celebrate its starring role in the famous Laurel and Hardy short, “The Music Box,” at a fun festival for film buffs and families. This will be the 24th annual event honoring the 132 stairs that gave the bungling piano movers a hilariously hard time–and earned the comedy team an Oscar in 1932. Presented by the Silver Lake Improvement Association and co-sponsored by the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, the festival will take place from noon to 4:00 p.m. at Laurel and Hardy Park, 900 Vendome Street. There will be free food, live entertainment, a raffle and screenings of the famous film.
