Cut-Through Traffic Study at LADOT for 90-Day Review

Following unanimous approval by the Los Angeles City Council, the 2018 Rowena Avenue, Waverly Drive, Angus Street Cut-Through Traffic Study has been submitted to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) for comprehensive review. (Vote was 12 in favor, none opposed, three absent.) City council directed LADOT to report in 90 days on the feasibility of implementing potential mitigations presented in Kimley-Horn’s May 2018 report. The council motion also instructed LADOT to work with the Bureau of Engineering to provide cost estimates for each of the potential improvements. The Neighborhood Council supported the study, which was funded by CD4 and explores a range of options for improving safety for residents. The SLNC expects the analysis to be completed in February or March.
