Library to Host Women In Politics Roundtable on March 28

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Silver Lake Library is hosting a roundtable discussion on the challenges women face when they run for office, from local Neighborhood Councils to president of the United States.  Discussion leaders for “Women in Office: Can We Do It? Yes We Can!” will include Anne-Marie Johnson, co-chair Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, and Sarah Kate Levy, National Women’s Political Caucus; Johnson and Levy will share tips and strategies for choosing a race, raising funds and running a campaign and answer questions from attendees.  The roundtable will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Silver Lake Library, 2411 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles. According to Library Branch Manager Lisa Palombi, participants will receive a complimentary copy of Ms. Magazine, posters and discount subscription coupons, while supplies last.
