SLNC History Collective Designated Archival Resource

The SLNC’s Silver Lake History Collective Committee (SLHC) has announced that its Bob Herzog Memorial Collection is now listed as a resource in the directory of LA as Subject. The LA as Subject archive, originally convened by the Getty Research Institute in 1997, is a research alliance dedicated to preserving and providing access to archival material of Los Angeles history. While much of the city’s history is preserved in museums, libraries and other cultural institutions, there are many more unique and valuable collections that reveal the stories of neighborhoods, families and influential Angelenos. The SLNC History Collective is now part of this essential online directory of more than 230 separate collections. SLHC Co-chair Michael Masterson said,”This inclusion aligns perfectly with the committee’s mission of providing an oral history of our community and is in addition to the SLHC Bob Herzog Memorial Collection already housed in the permanent collection at the USC Doheny Library.”
