LAPD Launches New Online Accident and Crime Reporting System

The Los Angeles Police Department recently announced a new system that will allow individuals involved in hit-and-run accidents resulting only in property damage to submit an accident report online. The Los Angeles Police Department Community Online Reporting Service replaces the need to summon a police officer to the scene when a driver flees without leaving their information. People can also report thefts from an unlocked or locked vehicle, harassing phone calls, lost property, vandalism and more. Click here to file a report and learn more. LAPD also reminds community members to not leave possessions in locked or unlocked vehicles and to dial 911 to report emergencies or crimes in progress.
