The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is an all-risk, all-hazard training. This valuable course is designed to help you protect yourself, your family, your neighbors and your neighborhood in an emergency situation.

Following the conclusion of that Feb. 2 Governmental Affairs Committee meeting, Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky will be the special guest speaker (plus Q&A) at a meeting of NECA -- the North East Central Alliance of Neighborhood Councils.

The Silver Lake History Collective, a longstanding subcommittee of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, is looking for interviewees who feel they have something significant to contribute to our archived collection of oral history interviews. We are looking for all subjects that are relevant to the evolution of our diverse community. The videotaped interview lasts approximately one hour.
If you are interested in participating or you know a friend or neighbor who might be, please submit a brief summary of yourself or the individual and the connection to Silver Lake.
