In conjunction with National Public Lands Day, the SLNC is inviting community members to roll up their sleeves, get dirty and help to spruce up Bellevue Park on Saturday morning, September 24. Activities begin at 10:00 a.m. and volunteers are urged to come prepared with appropriate attire and shoes. The Bellevue Park Recreation Center is located at 826 Lucile Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90026.

SLNC Governing Board Co-Chair Anne-Marie Johnson said,” Volunteers will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the park, which serves so many Silver Lake residents. “ The clean up is funded by Toyota and plants, mulch, flowers, tools, trash bags, tables, chairs, and pop-up tents will be available the day of the event. Representatives from National Public Lands Day’s “Helping Hands For American Lands” will be on hand to help with the clean up.
