SLNC Joins Community at South Dam Pathway Opening

SLNC Board Members Heather Carson, Jerome Courshon, Betsy Isroelit, Anne-Marie Johnson, and Terry Jackson welcomed community members at the recent South Dam pathway event

CD13 Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, Representative Adam Schiff, Assemblywoman Laura Friedman, and Mayor Eric Garcetti recently joined residents and visitors for the opening of a new walking path across the South Dam of the Silver Lake Reservoir. Over the past two years, the SLNC has worked with Department of Water and Power officials, CD13 Councilmember O’Farrell, CD4 Councilmember David Ryu, and community organizations to refill the iconic reservoirs to their historic depth of 440-450 feet. The Neighborhood Council will continue to hold town hall meetings to give stakeholders the opportunity to receive accurate information and ask questions about the new Reservoir Complex Master Plan.
