Councilmember David Ryu Announces Changes to Senior Leadership Team

Nicholas Greif, Councilmember Ryu’s director of policy and legislation, has been named as Councilmember Ryu’s chief of staff, following the announcement of Sarah Dusseault’s pending departure at the end of September. In addition, Estevan Montemayor, currently the director of communications and external affairs, has been named deputy chief of staff and will continue to manage communications and external affairs, as well as oversee special projects. Catherine Landers, who has served Council District 4 in a number of capacities, including senior field deputy, was named leadership director of special projects, including park access, homelessness and housing affordability. Adeena Bleich will continue to serve in her role as deputy chief of staff, overseeing community relations, operations and process improvement. According to the press release, Greif, Montemayor and Landers, who have worked with Councilmember Ryu since his first year in office, will assume their new positions on October 1.
