LMU Open Space Study Begins Next Week

Starting next week, look for Loyola Marymount University students who will be conducting the new Silver Lake Reservoir Complex Open Space Study at the reservoirs and other Silver Lake locations. The survey can also be taken at a SLNC/LMU open house from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, at the Silver Lake Library.  A link to an online version of the study will be available at a future date at www.silverlakenc.org. The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council selected the Loyola Marymount University Center for Urban Resilience to conduct the pilot survey of residents and stakeholders. LMU will gather foundational data about the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of residents and people who use and live nearby the historic 96-acre reservoirs.

“By partnering with Loyola Marymount University, we are confident this study will be an indispensable tool when work begins on the new Reservoirs Master Plan,” said Anne-Marie Johnson, co-chair of the SLNC. “Our goal is to ensure that all residents and stakeholders have an opportunity to take part in the study.”
