Addressing The Pigeon Issue at Sunset Triangle Plaza

At our August 7th meeting, the SLNC Governing Board discussed funding a motion that would allow for the humane removal of the feral pigeons at Sunset Triangle Plaza.

For many in the community, both businesses and residents alike, the pigeons and the droppings they leave behind have become an unhygienic concern that needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

While many Governing Board members voiced support for the humane removal of the birds, ultimately it was decided to table the motion until the community could have a more in-depth conversation with the Silver Lake Improvement Association, who oversees the upkeep and maintenance of the Plaza. Several community members who would like to see this problem addressed will be attending the next SLIA Monthly Board Meeting.

If you would like to voice your support for this initiative, please join us at this meeting (details below) or, if you can’t make it in person, feel free to email with your feedback.
