Unanimous Support For Two Crucial Community Impact Statements That Address City’s Affordable Housing Crisis

At the August 7th meeting, the Governing Board voted unanimously to support and file two Community Impact Statements for City Council motions that will help address the City’s low income and affordable housing crisis.

These CIS requests were initiated by SLNC’s Housing & Tenants Rights Committee, which continues their incredible work in offering assistance to renters in the Silver Lake community.

The two City Council Motions supported with these statements are the Empty Homes Penalty aka Vacancy Tax  and the Ellis Act Amendment and you can read each motion by following those two links.
