Reminder: Please Take the 2020 Census and Be Counted!

Have you or someone in your household participated in the 2020 Census yet? If not, you’ve still got time! Having an accurate census count is incredibly important to the community because the federal government uses census information to distribute funding to state and local governments for everything from schools to housing to healthcare. Los Angeles is one of the hardest-to-count areas in the whole country, so community involvement will be essential to getting an accurate count and getting the resources we need from the federal government.

The 2020 census is the first to be conducted digitally, meaning you can now participate online at www.2020census.gov! You can of course still participate by responding to census mailings that have already gone out to homes, or by phone, daily from 7am-2am ET, at 844-330-2020 (English) or 844-468-2020 (Spanish). Phone numbers for other languages are available on the website. The census is very easy to complete, it takes only a few minutes, and it is available in several languages. Please note, there is NO citizenship question on the 2020 Census. The census response period now lasts until August 14, 2020. Respond to the census survey and be counted today!
