Street & Sidewalk Repair Initiative: Submit your Requests by October 18th.

Tired of that pesky pothole around the corner from you? Interested in repairing an aging sidewalk? We have good news for those keen improving our neighborhood’s streets and infrastructure: SLNC is collaborating with the City’s Bureau of Street Services to identify and make up to 15 repairs to our streets and we need your help! We are looking to collect nominations to improve local crosswalks, intersections, and other high-volume locations here in Silver Lake.

We hope to share approximately two opportunities for each of our seven districts. Example repairs include filling potholes, patching eroded or cracked streets areas, fixing sidewalks, and repairing concrete streets. To submit a suggested improvement, please email the SLNC Transportation & public Safety Committee at transportation@silverlakenc.org with the address or identifying location, as well as a short description of the repair needed.

The deadline for sharing your nomination is October 18, 2019. Once all responses are collected, the Committee will work with the SLNC Board to review and share the suggested repairs with the Bureau of Street Services ahead of their work in Silver Lake on October 31, 2019.
